Filament polyester geotextile is the most widely used non woven geotextile by thermally bonding long fiber polyester into net and consolidation with three dimension structure. Filament polyester geotextile is kind of new material in geotechnical and engineering project. BPM Polyester filament non woven geotextile have good reinforcement performance and separation performance for the road construction. Filament polyester geotextile has the following applications.

  • Segregation. Geotextile is used to isolate building materials such as soil and sand, sand and gravel, soil and concrete with different physical properties (particle size, distribution, consistency and density, etc). The two or more materials are not lost or mixed, and the overall structure and function of the material are maintained, so that the load bearing capacity of the structure is enhanced.
  • Filtration. When the water flows from the fine-grained soil layer to the coarse-grained soil layer, the water permeability is ensured through the good permeability and water permeability of the filament geotextile. And effectively shut down the soil particles, sand, small stones, etc., in order to maintain the stability of water and soil engineering.
  • Drainage. Geotextile are good water conducting materials. They can form drainage channels in the soil structure and remove the excess liquid and gas inside the soil structure.
  • Reinforcement. The use of geotextiles enhances the tensile strength and deformation resistance of the soil and enhances the stability of the building structure to improve the quality of the soil.
  • Protection. Effectively spreads, transmits, or decomposes concentrated stress and prevents soil from being damaged by external forces.

Some steps should be followed for filament polyester geotextile installtion. The layout of geotextiles is selected before the asphalt cooling loses its bond. And the laying of geotextile must be leveled and flattened. Geotextiles should be approached from the edge line of the road to the center. When rolling up the tire roller, the traffic should be closed in the process of laying except for the construction vehicle.
