High Density Polyethylene Liner for Biogas Pond Project in China

High density polyethylene liner is the impermeability synthetic membrane used for geotechnical engineering projects  so as to control fluid or gas migration or seepage in the human-made project such as canal, aquaculture, irrigation ponds and remediation liners and other lining applications include landfills, waste water treatment lagoons, oil and gas exploration and power plants, etc. The most common type of polyethylene liner used in biogas pond facilities is made from high density polyethylene mixed with carbon black, anti-aging agent, anti-oxygen agent, UV absorber, stabilizer and other auxiliary materials. The BPM polyethylene liner installed at this facility has smooth surfaces which resulted in a low interface shear resistance.
Biogas is usually made of organic manure waste from animals by anaerobic digestion treatment. So biogas is a kind of clean fuel, which can be used for household gas or cooking, water heating, etc. It can also generate electricity directly from gas. The biogas produced after fermentation is a clean fertilizer that can be used in organic agricultural fertilizers. The HDPE liner is one of the materials used to build biogas pond. The biogas pool adopts the anti-seepage membrane waterproofing method. Compared with the traditional reinforced concrete self-waterproofing method, the polyethylene liner biogas pond has many advantages such as long retention period of sewage, large amount of biogas production and low operating cost. Impermeable liner has natural superiority in terms of its construction cost, easy to maintain and management, gas production, power generation, sewage treatment and so on, so it has strong economic, social and ecological benefits.

In 2016, BPM undertook a medium-sized impermeable biogas polyethylene liner project in Lia ranch, which located in Dezhou, Shandong province of china. According to the standards promulgated by the Construction Department of Shandong Province, the biogas pond must be impervious and the volume must meet the specified requirements. Our company is the supplier of Dezhou Lia Ranch Biogas pond Project and participated in a lot of work such as project planning, project design and installation. Biogas polyethylene liner mainly divided into two parts which are substrate and mask. The substrate is used to prevent seepage at the bottom of biogas pond liner. The mask is used to seal the biogas pond liner.
After many exchanges and on-site field assessments, both parties unanimously approved the biogas pond use BPM 1.0mm-size polyethylene liner as the substrate layer and BPM 1.5mm-size impermeable liner as the mask layer.
BPM has more than ten years of experience in the construction of impermeable biogas pond. As of October 9, 2016, under the leadership of Engineer Zhang, this project has been checked and accepted at one time. Now, the system has been officially put into use.
