How to install Water Pond Liner for Containment Applications
1 Basic Work
1.1 After the foundation shape and excavation, the slope shall be cut, leveled or compacted. Displacement and backfilling of disturbed soil shall be layered and sprinkled with water or compacted, and the thickness of each layer shall be greater than or equal to 400mm.
1.2. Remove materials with punctured hidden dangers such as bricks, stones, and tiles; glass and metal debris; branches, plant roots, etc. Clean up the obstacles in the field and provide the necessary laying conditions.
1.3. The surrounding retaining wall, pump pit, bridge foundation, and installation and reservation of underwater nozzles must be completed before the construction of composite geomembrane.
2 Water Pond Liner Welding Process
2.1 Weld lap width: 80~100mm; natural pleats of plane and vertical surface are 5%~8%; reserved expansion and contraction: 3%~5%; residual amount of scrap: 2%~5%.
2.2 Hot-melt welding working temperature is about 280 ~ 300 °C or so; travel speed is about ~3m/min; welding form is double weld.
2.3 Damage repair method: cut the same material, hot melt adhesive, polyethylene seal.
2.4 There is no imitation connection at the weld bead, and mechanical stitching is used.
2.5 The sealing of the underwater nozzle is stopped by GB rubber sealing strip, metal bandage and anti-corrosion treatment.
3 Deployment Process
3.1 The laying and unwinding direction of the smooth geomembrane is carried out from E to W or from W to E. The height of each laying length, including the height of the water retaining walls on both sides, is completed once. 2 laying sequence, from the channel axis to the S, N sides.
3.2 Construction process, first make the mortar protective layer (20-30mm) of the composite geomembrane at the bottom of the lake, and then do the paste with the vertical retaining wall.
3.3 Combination process of water pond liner and retaining wall. The adhesive is applied to the adhesive surface of the HDPE geomembrane and the retaining wall, and the drying is allowed to stand for about 5 minutes, and then pasted, extruded, and flattened. The adhesive is made of asphalt latex paint, cement and water. After the paste is completed, the nails are anchored above the water level line, and waterproof and anti-corrosion treatment is performed.
