Membrana HDPE liner, also known as the HDPE geomembrane liner, is the preferred product for a wide range of containment lining applications. New processes involving the heap leach method of precious metal extraction using chemical solutions have resulted in low cost extraction from low grade ores. On the one hand, the use of flexible geomembrane liners prevents the contamination of the soil and groundwater by these chemical solutions. Lining geomembrane under leach pads to minimize the potential for cyanide release is essential to the environmental protection. BPM membrana HDPE liner with excellent puncture and chemical resistance is the best selection for the containment lining systems to meet the severe requirement of the mining industry. On the other hand, Heap leaching has become the preferred method of recovering minerals from low-grade ore from open pit mines. Copper, gold, silver and other metals are most common. The metal deposits are dissolved by chemicals applied to the top of the heap of ore, which eventually leach to the bottom of the pile.  Here a membrana HDPE liner captures the solution preventing it from migrating into the ground, before directing the solution by gravity to a collection system.  The solution is sent to a refinery where the metal can be precipitated out and the solution sent back to the heap to be used again to dissolve more metal. 

Our African customer was introduced to BPM by our long-term cooperation customer. He won mining project by bidding that needed membrana HDPE liner certificated with ASTM GM13 standard. After preliminary communication, we knew that the project needed 0.9 mm  thickness HDPE geomembrane liner with and 8 meters wide and 110 meters in length used for the this project to prevent the contamination of the soil and groundwater by these chemical solutions.
